Next day

As soon as I reached the company.., the atmosphere there was a bit different.., there was complete silence everywhere.., like everyday no one was talking to each other.., Something is wrong.., I thought and went to the top floor.

As soon as I came out of the lift.., the atmosphere there was even more quiet.., everywhere was so quiet that even the sound of a pin falling could be heard.., only the sound of my shoes walking on the floor was coming.

I put my stuff in my cabin and went to ma'am's cabin, I knocked on her cabin door, I heard a voice "come in", but this was not like every day. There was.., there was a dangerous edge in her voice I felt a shiver in my spine. I entered the cabin and saw, she was sitting in the chair, her back was towards me.

"You're 2 minutes and 5 seconds late Mr. Singhania", her cold voice came, which sent chill in my body.

"I.. I'm... Sorry ma'am..", I said shuttering.

She turned and slammed her hand on the table and shouted loudly, "Don't shutter front of me.., Mr. Singhania.., I don't like it at all".

I took a step back in fear, I saw her slight red eyes blazing in anger., I felt like my heart was come in my mouth.., she stood, her presence felt dangerous.., she came towards me, her heels clicking on floor, I took step back in fear, but she didn't stop and took step forward, I didn't stop until my back hit the wall.

"Ma'am.. I.. I..", I tried to apologize again, when she looked straight into my eyes, "Don't you dare.. Kabir.., to shutter in front of me again, Just because you are my friend's brother-in-law doesn't mean I will tolerate your carelessness, If this happens again, then you will be fired from this company.., and you know very well.., what it means to be fired from SR Corporation.., you will not get a job anywhere else in the entire corporate world", she said her voice cold and calculating.

My heart pound in my heart, No... no... no... this cannot happen.., if this happens... then... my entire career will be ruined..., no I can't risk it.

I mustered all my courage and said without shuttering, "I'm sorry ma'am I'll not do this again..".

"It'll be good for you..", she said turning around and went to her chair again and sat down.

"Take this file... it has information about a new project, you have one week... I need a presentation ready...", she paused and looked at me with those dark hazel eyes, "and remember this project is very important for me..., it's worth the 100 crores", she completed putting a file on the table, my body already shakes with fear, I took the file with trembling hands and left the cabin.

I entered my cabin and collapsed on my chair, my whole body was shaking in fear, a lone tear came out of my eyes, I wiped it with the back of my hand, Kabir, you can't make any mistake... otherwise everything will be ruined... mom and dad's dreams..., my career..., everyone's dreams..., everything will be ruined..., you will have to do this... Kabir...", I muttered to myself.

I don't know how this week passed by.., I used to come before time every day.., and showed her the progress of the presentation, but she used to find some or the other shortcoming and scold me.., I was tired.., this whole week.., I rest barely.

the whole day went in attending meeting with ma'am and then in some free time I make presentation and rather to motivate me.., she criticize me.., for my work.., I felt hopeless.., I can't even leave my job.., all my peace was ruined in all this. On the final day.., I showed her the presentation.. which she liked.

The next day we went for the meeting.., before going I did all the preparations and also rechecked the presentation.., This was a tender project in which different companies were going to fight for the project. As we entered the hotel where the meeting was going to take place, we met Mr. Khurana right near the gate.

He and ma'am both looked at each other with hatred, I don't know what had happened that they look at each other with so much hatred, I thought in my mind.

We entered the conference room where many people were already sitting, we also sat in our seats, there was still half an hour for the meeting to start.., everyone was talking to each other.., but Sia ma'am and Mr. Khurana was sitting quietly, and no one was daring to talk to them.., her phone buzzed, "I'm coming after some time, till then check all the things properly once", she said I nodded, she left the room.

I was checking the presentation.., when someone tapped my shoulder, I raised my head and saw Mr. khurana secretary.., she passed me a smile and said, "you're kabir, SR secretary.., right..", she asked. I nodded. I felt something is wrong. She sat beside me and looked at my laptop, I closed the presentation.

She chuckled and said, "What do you think.., your presentation is better than ours.., doesn't matter how much your ma'am tried.., but today's tender will be won by Mr. Khurana", She said with a cruel. I felt my stomach twisted. I want to say something to her.., but her that confident grin, waver my confidence.

"All the best.., for your loss..", she said and went to Mr. khurana. My hands trembled slightly. "Kabir don't panic.., she was just scaring you, don't lose your confidence", I muttered to myself mustering some confidence.

She also came back, main executive also came there and everyone's presentation started.., my palm become sweaty, seeing the presentation and confidence, then Mr. khurana and his secretary also present their presentation and now my whole confidence break, his presentation was so good.. that the executive also started clapping for him.., he looked at us and smirked I look towards ma'am, her expression was unreadable.

When I was about to show the presentation.., I connected my laptop on screen and opened the presentation, but my eyes widened when nothing was there.., for a moment my whole mind went blank.

"Kabir..", ma'am voice came in my ear, I came in my senses and started looking for the presentation but everything was black., How did this happen.., I thought in my mind, my hand trembled and looked at ma'am with her scared face.

"What happened...Ms. Raichand, why is it taking so long..", the executive asked. She looked at me with her dark eyes, sweats beads came on my forehead. "Ma'am, that presentation isn't on my laptop", I said in my trembling voice. She narrowed her eyes and looked at me with anger. Oh god.. please.. save me...

"What do you mean the presentation isn't there", her voice was low but dangerous.., I gulped in fear and said, "I don't know ma'am..".

"What's the matter... Ms. Raichand you have come to this conference without any presentation...", Mr. Khurana said with a twisted grin.

Sia glared at Abhay in anger then looked at kabir who was already scared, "sir can I explain my idea without any presentation", She said with calm.

The executive looked at each other and after thinking for some time he said yes, Sia stood and went near the screen, the whole focus was on her, she picked the screen pen started drawing a blue print in simple way and started explaining everything to them.

The smirk on Abhay's face faltered, Sia was incomprehensible explaining everything in a good way, the executive was also impressed, she gave some print file to the executive and explained it more cautionary.

After an hour when her presentation ended, there was silence there for some time, after that one of the executives stood up and started clapping for her, everyone sat there clapping for her. It's excellent Ms. Raichand..", the executive said. Sia looked at Abhay with a smirk, and then thanked to the executive. "So we think that this tender has been awarded to the SR corporation..", the executive said.

Kabir smiled wide, now he was relaxed. Abhay looked at Sia with anger, Sia shook hands with the executive and then one by one everyone left the room, "so Mr. Khurana kaisi lagi ye pehli maat..", Sia said to abhay.., with a smirk.

"It's your luck Sia.", he said with gritted teeth. "nah.. its my brain mr. khurana.., I had a feeling that you will do some mess.., do you really think I'm a fool, that I wasn't able to know how our presentation went missing suddenly..", Sia said raising her brow, her lips twitch in the corner.

"You are a very good hacker, that's why you deleted our first orientation in just five minutes from Kabir's laptop.., but you may have forgotten that defeating SR is not that easy..", Sia said and left from there with Kabir., Kabir was shocked, hear what Abhay did.

"Let's take lunch..", she said and entered in a private room in the hotel. Kabir silently followed her. "ma'am.. you.. knew all this.. that Mr. Khurana is ready to do all this.." Kabir asked hesitantly. Sia sat on the chair and ordered her food. She pushed the menu towards Kabir.., his hunger died just after seeing the price of that dish.

"I'm not hungry ma'am..", he said, Sia narrowed her eyes and said, "you don't have to pay so order whatever you want..", Sia said in her firm voice. Kabir gulped and ordered the lowest priced dish for himself, the waiter wrote the order and went away.

"you didn't know but this corporate world is not so simple.., here no one has any shame to put anyone down.., here everyone is only interested in power and money.. even if for that they have to completely ruin others.., and if you want to survive in this world.. then you too will have to become like them.., here there is no place for weak people.., here the weak are just suppressed by putting them on their feet", she said straightly looking in his eyes.

"It means you are also like that...", he said without any thoughts, then it hit him, he covered his mouth with his hand and looked at her with wide eyes, Sia looked at him with sometime then she burst in laughter, for the first time Kabir saw her laughing, he lost in her laughter.

Sia feel his gaze on her, and looked at him, he was slightly smiling., her heart skip a beat seeing his that cute dimple smile, they lost in each other eyes when a waiter came to serve them food, their eye contact broke, Kabir while face turned red, he looked everywhere but not her.

He concentrate on his food., while Sia eyes fell on his face, she knows he is innocent not knowing the cruel reality of this world. A possessiveness grip her heart, she looked at kabir between eating her food, he was making faces looking at the food, she understood that he didn't like that food much.

"Stop Kabir..", she said and stood up.., Kabir looked at her with confusion. "Let's go..", she said and without hearing him, she left the room, kabir looked at her in surprise then ran behind her, they sat in her car, "little joy cafe..", she said to the driver. kabir looked at her but didn't say anything, kabir was sitting in passenger seat while sia was sitting in back seaf, a small smile came on his face, thinking that now he can eat his favorite food. Sia also saw that satisfaction smile on his face, she felt her heart were melting.

After an hour they reached the cafe, her driver opened the door for her, they both entered the cafe and took the seat near the glass wall. Sia ordered her milkshake while, Kabir ordered pasta and chocolate shake. Sia bites her inner cheek seeing Kabir smile face. "Oye Kabir..", a voice came from behind. They both turned and saw Rehan there, Sia looked at Rehan with confusion cause she didn't know who he is.

"Rehan.., what are you doing here at this time..", kabir asked.

"you.. have come on a date with some girl.., and you haven't even told me.. but she is not Mahira.., you used to like Mahira, right, then why are you with another girl", Rehan just kept on speaking without stopping.., Kabir's eyes widened in shock, Sia eyes narrowed, hearing Mahira name, Kabir put his hand on Rehan's mouth so that he could not do anything further.

"hey crazy man she is my boss..", Kabir said. Rehan's eyes widened in shock.

"Umm.. umm..", Rehan gesture kabir to remove his hand, kabir removed his hand, "I'm sorry.. I didn't know.. I'm sorry ma'am..", Rehan said apologizing.

Sia didn't say anything and took another sip of milkshake, "so you're Kabir friend..", Sia asked, still sipping her shake., "huh.. haa haa.. I am Rehan..", Rehan said hesitantly. There was silence for a moment, "Tell me one thing, are you both afraid of death..", Sia asked raising her raised and looked at them.

"Huh.. what..", they both asked in unison. "Are you afraid of dying..", Sia asked again. "who is not afraid of death..", Rehan said with an awkward laugh. "why did you ask like this..", Kabir asked. Sia looked at Kabir and smirked, she grabbed her glass and threw it towards Kabir, he lowered his head in fear, then he heard someone screaming, Kabir and Rehan turned and saw a man standing grabbing his head.

A gasp came out of their everyone mouth, another man came towards sia, she stood grabbing her chair and hit that man with the chair, that man landed on the ground groaning in pain.

Everyone who came to the cafe took their steps back even Kabir and Rehan.

"It's been days since I hit anyone.., lets see how long you can stand on your feet..", Sia said with a twisted grin, a man came and threw a punch towards her, she dodge the punch and kicked that on the stomach.

Another man came and took out a knife and pointed it at her, "Come with us quietly, or else I will kill you...", he said threatening her. Kabir and Rehan looked scared, but Kabir showed some courage and said, "you... put the knife down, are you crazy... how can you talk about taking someone's life like this".

Sia looked at him, her gaze softened for a moment before she looked at the man, "okay... I am surrendering...", she said raising her hand in mock surrender.

"but are you sure... you can even touch me...", she said, her expression changed into dark intensity for a moment that man got scared. He gestures to his man..., as soon as they come forward to capture Sia, she punches one of them and hits the other one on his main point...,

"oops..., I think I have finished your further bloodline", she said with a mock laugh. Kabir's jaw dropped to see her. He could not imagine that a girl could like this..., but he felt relieved and a small smile came on her face.

"you bitch..", that man growled and attacked to with the knife.., she grabbed that man's hand and twisted behind his back, "sorry to say.. but even death itself is afraid of me.., until I want death can't even touch me", she whispered, her voice low yet dangerous, which sent chilled that man body.

She twisted his wrist tightly, the knife slipped from his hand..., she caught the knife and bangs that man's head on the table, and she took the knife near his neck, it seemed as if the breath of all the people standing there had got stuck in their throat, that man's eyes became wide..., he was scared, the knife was just an inch away from that man's neck, then some people wearing black suits come in..., "take them all...", Sia said jerking him off, they makes all those three men stand up, went from there.

She looked around, some people were standing there scared and were making some videos..., "deleted all those videos and photos right now...", her voice was thunderous. They all were scared.

She ran her hand in her hand and said, "You know what is the problem of this society.., they only know how to watch the spectacle.., no one comes forward to help anyone.., for some reason everyone thinks.. hey, we don't know him/her.. why would we help", her eyes turned red, "agar aaj meri jagah tum mei se kisi ki bahu, beti ya behen hoti to bhi aise hi chup rehke tamasha dekhte kya..", she shouted, everyone bowed their heads in shame.

"You know.. why these crimes are increasing so much these days.. because people like you just stand and watch the spectacle and make videos, even if they kill me today.., you would have just stood and watched the show.., later just for fame.., you would have made the videos viral and what would the caption be.., poor girl.. see how brutally he killed her.., if you are a human being then show your humanity too.

"If anyone posted any videos on the internet, be prepared for your own destruction..", she said and came out of the cafe in anger, she sat in her and left from there with full speed.

"Bhai tune sahi kaha tha ye to chalti phirti bomb hai.., par kuch bhi kaho.., its damn hot bro.., kya maara hai un sabhi ko..", Rehan said with disbelief. Kabir came back in reality and looked at him with wide eyes, "Shame on you she is my boss..", he said smacking Rehan's head.

"What.. by God.. if she was of my age.. I would have definitely dated her..", Rehan said with a sheepish grin. Kabir shook his head, he was already used to such things about Rehan. "Drop me at the office... otherwise I won't be able to control myself when her anger bursts on me...", Kabir said, Rehan nodded, they came out of the cafe and came on Rehan's bike, he drop Kabir in SR corporation and was going back, when suddenly a girl came infront of his bike.

He applied some breaks, he stopped just an inch away from that girl..., that girl came quickly and said "please save me... some goons are harassing me...", Rehan first saw that girl..., she was almost 22 years old, her emerald eyes were shining in sunlight, she had long hairs waving in air, her height was 5'2, her face expression was scared.

Rehan looked at the other side where some men were running and coming behind them., "Sit in the back quickly...", Rehan said. The girl sat behind him. She held his shoulders tightly, a shiver was sent in his body., "Let's go...", that girl said. Rehan drove off from there. Those people kept screaming from behind but by then they had gone quite far away from them.

When they felt that they had come away from those goons, Rehan went and stopped his bike on the side of the road, that girl got down from the bike, "thank you so much..", she said taking a deep breath. "Its okay.., Rehan said with a small smile.

"Hello.., I'm Rehan Desai..", Rehan said forwarding his hands, that girl looked at his hand then his face, she shook her hand with him and said, "Hii.. I'm Ananya..".

"Oh.. it's a very cute name..", Rehan said with a smile, she blushed and thanked him.

She looked even cuter while blushing.., "why did they were behind you.." he asked genuinely concerned.

"A few days ago I wrote an article against him.., all of them were criminals.., but they got to know that's why they were behind me to kill me..", she said with a sad voice.

"You're a journalist", Rehan asked in surprise. she nodded, "come on, now I will go.. thank you once again", she said and turned around to go.. "Ananya", he called her.

"Haa", Ananya said looking at him with confusion. "umm.. how will you go from here., I mean you will not get any cab or rickshaw here, you tell me where you have to go.. I will drop you..", he said with nervousness, she was surprised, it was a surprise him too.. before today he had never shown so much hesitation in front of anyone..,

She thought for a while and then agreed to go with him.., she once again sat behind his bike, "Drop me to Ahuja Towers..", Ananya told him. Rehan looked over his shoulder, his eyes wide in shock because it was Mumbai expensive towers, it has one apartment in crores..,

"You live in Ahuja Towers..", Rehan asked. "Yes.., I don't want to live with my family, so I started living there, earlier my elder brother used to live there, but now he has taken another apartment, so now I stay there", Ananya said casually like its a normal thing for her.

Rehan looked at her innocent face, her hair was coming on her face that's why she was looking even more beautiful, he lost in her innocence and beauty.

"Rehan.. let's go...", Ananya said, Rehan came back in reality, he nodded and wore his helmet. He turned his bike towards Ahuja towers..., almost after an hour they reached there.
